The collaboration was proved successful and led to Bone Thugs naming Collins an honorary member of the band under the name “Chrome Bone”.

Marty Racine of the Houston Chronicle thought that "Take Me Home" was one of the few songs that " above the crowd ". Cash Box called it "an urgent ballad" with "intensity and hummable refrain" Billboard called it an "introspective mood piece of melancholy and defiance."
